36 Weeks and 1 Day

Tomorrow, Will is turning 36 weeks and 1 day old. This is significant because I was pregnant exactly 36 weeks and 1 day when he was born. I just can't believe he has been here with us as long as I was pregnant! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy. His smile makes me forget about everything else going on in our hectic lives and he continues to surprise me every day. I've learned so much from him, but the most amazing this is how much you can love a little one even when they can't reciprocate the feeling. Our life has changes so much and is so much better because of him. I love you Will!!!

8 Months!

Will is 8 months old!! It is not easy taking pictures with the hippo these days. I thought once he could sit up he'd be happy to sit on the big stuffed animal and smile. No, he'd rather eat the paper, dive off the hippo for toys, etc., which is all quite funny. Here are a couple more pictures of the hippo picture process!...

I will say the past month may have been the busiest of his life, so far! Here is the run down of the month in pictures!

1.We moved! Yes, we have a new house. It is wonderful. We are settling in and filling up all the space rather quickly!
2. Will cut 2 teeth in one week! He now has two bottom teeth. He hasn't been too fussy about it all, but he does chew and drool a lot! Those little teeth are sharp, too!

**NOTE** Will does not wish to show these teeth in pictures at this time. Sorry...maybe we'll catch them sometime in the future!

3. Aunt Brittney came to visit and meet Will for the first time! We had so much fun and loved having her here! Come see us again soon, Britt! Houston isn't that far away! :)

4. Will is sitting up! I was convinced he would crawl and walk before sitting because he never seemed to want to just sit in one place and play - he'd rather roll around or play in his jumper. He's still getting the hang of it, but is such a big boy!

5. Will went to the lake for the first time over Father's Day weekend. We had a great time hanging out with friends at Chris's parents lake house. It was nice to relax and be in the sun some. Of course, Will was covered from head to toe in sunscreen, had his swim shirt and trunks on, a sun hat, AND sun glasses. It was a great way to spend Father's Day weekend.

6. Aunt Carrie came to visit us! She is out of school for the summer and surprised us with a visit! It was so much fun hanging out with her. Please move back to Dallas, Carrie! We miss you!!!

7. Will got his first car! I know, we are creating a monster at 8 months of age! He is getting the hang of it still. He can move it around backwards but still hasn't figured out how to walk forward in it.
8. Jackie and Bernie came to visit from New York! It was great to spend the weekend catching up. We took them to Lone Star Park (Will spent a few hours with Dee Dee and Grandpa) and did a little gambling. It was a lot of fun!

It seems like it has been a pretty crazy month, but we have had a lot of fun. We're looking forward to the next month and all the fun still to come this summer. It is just amazing to watch Will grow and take in the world. He talks all the time and Chris is convinced he is saying da-da. I'm still working on ma-ma being his first word!

We hope you are all well!

7 Months Old!

I have been very delinquent in posting on the blog! Life has been NUTS! We moved a couple weekends ago and are still getting settled in. We rented out our "old" house - which was a task to find renters! We are happy to say we did find one and we think it is going to work out well (cross your fingers!). Will has been very busy! Month seven was a busy one for him - he spent his first night away at Grandma DeeDee's house. We had mothers day! Mommy went out of town for a few days for work - which was tougher on me than on Will! It was a big month. Will is loving his food and gets to try new things every few days. He is quite the eater and is steadily growing! I am just amazed at how alert he is and how much watching the world and soaking it in. Month 8 is proving to be pretty active also, but I'll save that for the next post! Here are pictures of month 7. I'll do my best to catch up and record all the fun events the summer has to offer! We hope you are all doing well!
Chillin' in the swing! Thanks for the cute outfit Aunt Carrie!
