8 Weeks Old

Maddie is 8 weeks old today!  Hard to believe.  We are having a lot of fun getting to know her, seeing her little personality start to show, etc.  A few things we've learned about Maddie:

• She is liking her swing a lot more and enjoys her play mat some, too.  
• She is OK in her car seat but prefers for it to be moving - so when we stop at a red light or if I stop in the mall to look at something she often tells me to hurry up and keep moving!
• She doesn't like tummy time - she takes after her brother there - but we still do it some.
• We get a smile every now and then, although most of the time I have to pry them out of her.  
• She loves looking at lights and at ceiling fans.  
  
• The longest she's slept so far is 5 hours.  We typically get a 4 hour stretch between meals.  She usually goes to bed around 10, wakes up around 2 or 2:30 and then again around 7 or so. 
• Maddie weighs 10lbs as of today (per our scale at home)
• She likes her formula and is feeling much better since we made the switch.  She is eating between 4 and 5.5 oz each meal.
• We still have some fussy time in the evenings - between around 6 and 10.  We know it will pass but we spend most of those hours walking and bouncing to make her happy.  Sometimes I have the magic touch, sometimes Chris does, and sometimes we just trade off because neither of us do! :)  
• Will loves to try to feed her and says "HELP!  HELP!" when he sees the bottle.  Then when I try to hold it with him he says "No Mommy Help!  No Mommy!".  He is very independent these days.
